Signs of a Kapha imbalance could include drowsiness, sinus congestion, weight gain, obesity, indigestion, and depression.

How to Balance Vata 

Vata is ruled by air, so a regularity and grounding activities are key to balancing the unruly ‘windy’ nature of this dosha. Try to keep a consistent daily routine when it comes to eating, sleeping, exercising, and working. Drink warm beverages and eat warm foods cooked in healthy oils. Spices like ginger, cinnamon, and cumin are also beneficial. Things to avoid include chocolate, alcohol, and caffeine. Exercise is also important for Vata body types, especially gentle exercises like yoga, walking, and swimming, which allow energy to flow without causing strain or blockages.

How to Balance Pitta

Pitta is ruled by fire, which means it needs to be balanced with things that are cool and calming. Pitta body types respond best to foods that are sweet, bitter, and astringent, so healthy choices include fresh fruits and greens. Try to avoid oily and spicy foods, red meats, and caffeine. How to Balance Kapha

Try not to consume too much oil or sugar. People with a Kapha body type should also maintain a regular sleep schedule and avoid taking naps during the day.
